Carpet stain shield
protecting your investment
protecting your investment
Once your new quality carpets have been expertly fitted you may wish to protect your investment from damage by stains, so we also offer treatment of your carpets with top quality stain resistant treatments from Stain Shield.
How does the Stain Shield work?
Any carpet or floorcovering will benefit from being treated with "Stain Shield" or "Stain Shield plus Allergy Shield".
These stain protection solutions act by coating every fibre with a polymer shield which helps to resist the absorption of stains and dirt to help to keep your floor looking good for longer.
Alleryshield provides additional total hygiene and protection against dust mites, fungus, moulds, bacteria and their allergens. Your new carpet will shrug off dirt and spills staying newer for longer. The breathable properties of the fibres are not affected.
How long does the Stain Shield last?
Shampooing and professional carpet cleaning products cannot break the bonds between the active chemical and fibres. The performance of the Stain Shield will last 5 years, subject to normal, reasonable use.
Is the Stain Shield safe and what is its impact on the environment?
Stain Shield is free from CFCs and is dermatologicaly tested. The Stain Shield polymers show no toxicity even at the highest applied levels and no bio availability, metabolism or hydrolysis.
How will the Stain Shield perform?
Stain Shield is not a stain blocker. Stain Shield slows the staining down giving time to get the carpet cleaned. It also holds dirt up making it easier to clean off. Aggressive stains such as turmeric and red wine may be more difficult to clear. Chemically active stains such as urine or bleach may actually damage the fibre itself; the Stain Shield cannot stop these chemically active products.
Help dealing with spillages
Three of the most important tips are.
1. Deal with the spill immediately.
2. Try to test the cleaning product on a hidden area first.
3. If in doubt instruct a professional cleaning company to tackle the problem.
